WOODLAND, CA - Woodland police look for a transient connected to an assault Tuesday night.

Police responded to the 2600 block of Nicholson Circle around 8:10 p.m. after getting a call of a felonious assault in progress, Sgt. Frank Ritter said.

The victim was found standing outside his home unharmed when police arrived.

Ritter said the victim allegedly got into a verbal argument with local transient Jerry Donald Kennedy Jr., 25, that turned into a physical altercation.

Kennedy allegedly vandalized the victim's property before attacking him with a piece of broken glass. Ritter said Kennedy then fled the area before police arrived.

Kennedy is described as a white man 6'1" tall, weighing 195 pounds with short brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen shirtless wearing unknown colored pants.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call police at 530-666-2411.
