KEYES, CA - The Stanislaus County sheriff's deputy and the man involved in Monday's shooting on the 5700 block of 10th Street were identified Wednesday morning.
According to Sgt. Anthony Bejaran of the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Dept., the shooting occurred when the deputy responded to a call of a family fight at the residence around 4:39 p.m. and an altercation occurred between the two. The deputy evntually shot the man who was then taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Bejeran identified the man who was shot and killed by the deputy as Jorge Ramirez, 32, of Keyes.
The deputy involved in the incident was identified as Art Parra Jr., a Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office employee of six years.
Parra was placed on administrative leave per department policy, said Bejaran.
The incident is currently under investigation and will be sent to the District Attorney upon completion, Bejaran said.
