SUTTER COUNTY, CA - A driver was killed Thursday morning when his or her car crashed and caught fire on Garden Highway just west of Counsman in Sutter County.
Initial police reports indicate the car somehow went off Garden Highway, hit a tree and burst into flames. The driver was either rendered incapacitated from the collision or became trapped and was consumed by the fire.
Per News10 photographer Mark Willis on scene, the driver's body was too badly burned to determine if it was a man or a woman.
