Wesley Shermantine, Loren Herzog
LINDEN, CA - Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla says he's been told by Wesley Shermantine of a third well with human remains.
According to Padilla, so-called "Speed Freak Killer" said the third well is near a TV tower approximately 500 yards into a field near the intersection of Waverly Road and Copperopolis Road.
Padilla said Shermantine says the remains are the doing of partner in crime Loren Herzog. Shermantine has attributed all of the human bones found in a Linden well on Herzog. Herzog committed suicide in January.
Padilla says he has mailed a first payment of $2,000 to Shermantine in return for information and maps leading to the remains discoveries. Padilla has reportedly agreed to pay the convicted killer $33,000 which Shermantine wants for headstones for his deceased parents and candy in prison. Shermantine is on Death Row at San Quentin.
