Suspect in Galt Friday AM attempted burglary identified

GALT, CA - One of the burglary suspects in Friday's early morning attempted burglary of a Galt coffee shop has been identified.

According to Galt Police Department Sgt Charles Dedriksen, George Jett is one of the two men arrested.  Jett was found hiding beneath an RV by canine units and arrested.

The other suspect was shot once in the upper body and once in the lower body. Deputy Jason Ramos of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department reported that the suspect was taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery for what Ramos called "life-threatening injuries."

Deputy Jason Ramos said Galt police received an alert of an activated alarm at the It's A Grind Coffee shop at 10420 Twin Cities Road.
