SACRAMENTO - On Wednesday, CNN released a list of the top 100 zip codes across America hit hardest by the foreclosure crisis, and Sacramento, Stockton and Fairfield contained six areas on the map.

Natomas (95835), South Sacramento (95823), Elk Grove (95624), and Laguna (95758) all made the list, totaling 4,801 properties in foreclosure.

Fairfield (94533) was listed on the map with 1,148 foreclosures and Stockton (95206) added 1,330 more, brining the total number of home foreclosures in the valley area to a staggering 7,279.

When looking at the United States as a whole, the western region of the country, most notably California, makes up the heaviest concentration of foreclosed properties. 39 California zip codes were on the map, meaning almost 40 percent of the hardest hit areas in the country are in the Golden State.
