SACRAMENTO, CA - A Sacramento man faces the possibility of incarceration and a hefty fine after pleading guilty to sending obscene material to a minor.
Eric Montane-Darab, 23, admitted to investigators he sent two obscene photos of himself as well as sexually explicit text messages to a 13-year-old Florida girl in 2010, according to court documents. The two communicated through an online game named Kingdom of War.
Montane-Darab was investigated by the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force under the auspices of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
The U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of California, says Montane-Darab could get up to 10 years in prison, three years of probation, and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced April 9 in Sacramento federal court.
