SACRAMENTO, CA - An Elk Grove man was sentenced to prison for trafficking child pornography.

Bradley Alan Dayley, 40, was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison and 10 years of parole after pleading guilty to producing and possessing child pornography, said Lauren Horwood, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney, Eastern District of California.

Dayley came to the attention of Elk Grove police in 2009 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children informed them they had sexually explicit images of a 10 to 12-year-old girl that had been intercepted in Europe via the Internet, said Horwood. In one photo, a city of Elk Grove garbage collection container could be seen.

After a month of searching, an Elk Grove detective found a fence that was depicted in one of the photos found by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at Dayley's home.

In September 2009, detectives searched Dayley's home to find hundreds of images and videos of the girl, plus thousands of sexually explicit images and videos of other children, Horwood said.
