LINCOLN, CA - Lincoln police spokeswoman Jill Thompson said police were looking into the shooting deaths of a man and his wife Friday afternoon.
Thompson said police dispatchers received a call at 4 p.m. from a man who said he shot his wife and was going to shoot himself.
Police officers and a Placer County sheriff's Special Enforcement Team responded to the call at a home on the 1500 block of 4th Street.
As officers pulled up to the home, they reported hearing a "pop", according to Thompson.
Thompson said there was no sign of forced entry and investigators were not looking for any suspects.
Police continue investigate and interview witnesses to what lead up to the shooting.
The victims' names will not be released until next of kin was notified.
