Sacramento, CA - The country is mourning the loss of several Navy Seals, while one local comrade learned the news.
"A friend sent me a message on Facebook - offering condolences," said Dr. David Kaufman - a Sacramento plastic surgeon and retired Navy SEAL. "We all, at some point in our careers, wanted to be on SEAL Team 6. Very few ever made it."
Kaufman knows, all too well, what it takes to be a Navy SEAL. The training lasts two years - many more for SEAL Team 6 members. "They operate under different rules," said Kaufman. "Their missions are to get things done and 'take things out' per say."
There are an estimated 2500 Navy SEALs with about 300 of them being on SEAL Team 6. It's estimated to cost around one million dollars to train a SEAL member and even more for those belonging to the elite group, Team 6.
