SACRAMENTO, CA -- Close your cookbooks, quit clipping coupons and forget about frozen dinners. Planning inexpensive, healthy meals, you actually like, just got a little easier. Food On The Table is a meal- planning website that promises to save you time and money.
Once you log on the website, you can choose your preferred grocery stores, favorite foods and then prioritize whether you want to save money, time or eat healthy. The site then generates a list of recipes using your favorite foods and lists of stores where your ingredients are on sale.
Becky Brannan, a nurse in Grass Valley, has been using Food On The Table for a year and says the web service is saving her an enormous amount of time. "Pick out your menu in a few minutes, sit there in your pajamas and coffee. I personally have the grocery list sent to my phone, to the app on my phone and that's what I use."
You can print your grocery lists and recipes, but you can also access the site from your iPhone or Android for free. Food On The Table allows users to pick three meal recipes for free each week; anymore than three and there is a $5 per month membership fee.
