SACRAMENTO, CA - A home owner decides not to press charges after a burglar fell of his roof.
Officers responded to a home on the 2600 block of Alhambra Boulevard Saturday around 2:17 a.m. after the resident heard someone on the roof and then falling, Sacramento police said.
The suspect was trying to steal a surveillance camera from the roof, but ended up falling 15 feet and injuring his leg.
The suspect was found on the ground next to the surveillance camera.
Police said the resident decided not to prosecute for the theft because the injury was punishment enough for the crime.
