Police now say electrocution caused the death of a nine-year-old girl at a Sacramento car wash Monday night. Rescue workers originally thought the girl had died as a result of trauma to her head when she fell. The girl was at the Sofspra car wash on Freeport Boulevard and Vallejo Way at about 10 p.m. with her mother. While the mother was washing her car, the girl was playing nearby, police said. Another customer discovered the injured child and called 911. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the girl was dead. The source of the electric shock that killed the child is unknown, but witnesses said she was playing near a flourescent light pole. The victim's name has not been released.
