LOOMIS, CA - Names of victims and new details were released after a triple homicide happened in Loomis Friday night.
Officials say 47-year-old Nanette Florance and 46-year-old Lawrence Jeremiah Fay Jr. were found dead Saturday morning. The third victim 46-year-old John Comara was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The shocking discovery of the trio was made after one of the victims didn't show up for work. A woman went to check on her friend at the home at Rachel Lane near Taylor Road in Placer County. Officials say she called 911 after stumbling on the scene.
Placer County Sheriff Detective Sgt. Alfredo Guitron said all of the victims were residents of the home. Family members told Guitron that John Comara and Nanette Florance were boyfriend and girlfriend and that Florance was physically disabled and used a wheelchair to get around.
Neighbors say they heard what sounded like gunshots and "pops" coming from the house Friday night, but no one called police. Officials did not find any weapons, bullets or shell casings at the scene. Detectives said all three victims had severe head trauma, but won't elaborate on their injuries until after the autopsy investigation is complete.
Officials initially thought the incident may have to do with a love-triangle, or murder-suicide quest. They have since backed off of those motives. As of this report, however, they don't have any clear person's of interest or suspects to track.
Placer County Sheriff's Department Detectives are asking the public to call with tips. The detective in charge of the case can be reached by calling: (530) 889-7849
