SACRAMENTO - A woman was killed due to a motorcycle accident in the intersection of 16th Street and Richards Saturday night. Police say she was riding passenger on the bike.
Officers say the woman and the driver of the motorcycle were thrown from the bike after it t-boned a vehicle that ran a red light. Police believe the driver of the motorcycle had a green light and was heading north when the accident happened.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
Police say the motorcycle driver and his passenger were initially taken to the hospital in critical condition - where the woman later died. Both are said to have been in their 50s.
As of this report, no names were being released.
