
SACRAMENTO, CA - Bill Rochel'eau, who auditioned for the show at the Jackson Rancheria Casino & Hotel last June, will be a contestant on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" Thursday at 3 p.m. on News10.
Bill works as a coach and counselor at a group home and school for disadvantaged youth. He's dedicated his life to helping kids who share the same struggles that he once had. Without the guidance that helped him to get back on the right path as a young man, Bill says that he might not be alive today.
Bill got the call to be on "Millionaire" from the principal's office! The main office relayed the message over the intercom in the school and his class stopped working and started cheering him on.
Bill believes that passing knowledge on to the next generation is the purest way to affect the future. He would like to become a high school history teacher and hopes that some "Millionaire" money will help him to obtain his teaching degree.
Bill is married to his wife Llianne and together they have two children and one grandson. Bill's wife came to NYC with him and sat in the "Millionaire" audience as his on-air companion for the show. Bill is the son of Betty Jane Rochel'eau of Modesto , CA .
Bill met his wife Llianne while he was serving in the Army in the '80s. He proposed to her three weeks later and they recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. Bill would like to use some of his "Millionaire" winnings to finally take her on a honeymoon!
* Bill is known to be a tough guy, but said that he's a big 'softee' when it comes to his grandson (Alex). He would also like to win enough money to set up a college fund for Alex's future.
