Looking to give your mind a workout - and tired of Nintendo's Brain Age franchise? You might want to try Roogoo Twisted Towers - a puzzle game with a twist of platforming action.

Roogoo is a puzzler with a sprinkle of platforming for the Nintendo Wii. Using the wii-mote and nunchuk, players twist cylinders with holes in them, to let colored shapes pass through. It seems simple enough - twisting the platters with the B-button clockwise, or the C-button counter-clockwise.

But then Twisted Towers gets twisted! They give you a net you control with the wii-mote, to collect butterflies while you sort through the falling shapes. Later on - there's even boss fights with creatures like a flying Batman type character... and a giant abominable snowman.

Then Roogoo starts firing multiple shapes at you. Soon you'll be twisting more than Chubby Checker in a hula hoop contest. Besides these shape rotating levels - there's also a spiraling levels where you collect shapes and shoot enemies. These kinds of twists keep Roogoo fresh, so the puzzling doesn't get too repetitive.

Despite its cartoonish look - these twists aren't for younger kids. The action is challenging even on the easiest difficulty. Fans of puzzle games old and new - from Tetris to Lumines, will enjoy this action.

Roogoo offers plenty of gaming bang for your buck. It's only $30.00 and it also has a party mode for up to four players to extend the fun.

Roogoo Twisted Towers is rated "E" for Everyone - and I'm giving it a solid 'B' grade.
