The law requires all children 6 years old or 60 pounds or less to be properly restrained in a car seat. It's recommended children stay in booster seats until they are 4'9". The CHP reports that almost 90% of child safety seats are used incorrectly or not used at all. With the Summer travel season practically here, It's important to make sure your child is riding safe. Come join News10 Good Morning's Melissa Crowley and Monica Woods at Cal Expo along with the California Highway Patrol who will have experts on hand to make sure your child safety seat is properly installed.
