News10 Coats for Kids
School Sign-Up Directions
It's easy to make your school a part of News10's Coats for Kids. Just read the directions below, sign up online, and print the downloadable artwork.
Once that's done, set up a bin or box and encourage patrons to bring in unused or outgrown coats.
Guidelines and Requirements
Read all directions first.
Full out the
online registration form
.
Obtain a box or bin. (Due to the overwhelming amount of requests, News10 cannot provide a bin.)
Decorate it with the downloadable materials.
Publicize the drive by posting flyers, having teachers talk to classes, or by including information in the school bulletin or newspaper.
Gather coats. Both new and used coats are welcome. Coats need not be washed before being donated (all used coats will be professionally cleaned).
Due to the overwhelming number of schools and businesses that participate, News10 is unable to pick up coats.
Coats can be dropped off at Swansons Cleaners, Southern area cleaners or at the News10 Studios during November and December.
News10 will mention participating schools on air throughout the drive.
Please note that the coats drive
must
be referred to as "News10 Coats For Kids" in any advertising or promotion.
All coats must be delivered no later than December 18th.
Click here for guidelines for using News10 Coats for Kids in print, radio, television, and on the web.
