Coats Distribution Day

9am-7pm (or when the coats run out)

Thank you to everyone who has donated to News10’s Coats for Kids!  The last day to donate is Friday, December 19th. Following that day, all remaining coats will be cleaned by area cleaners and transported to Cal Expo and the surrounding Salvation Army locations for final hanging and distribution.  We hope to hand out over 30,000 coats to anyone in need.

Who's eligible to receive a coat?
Anyone in need of a winter coat is welcome to come to distribution day.  Coats may be obtained free of charge by coming to any of the locations listed above on Friday, January 2nd. Coats are distributed on a first come, first serve basis, with a limit of one coat per person. Family members need not be present in order to obtain a coat, but adults will be required to show identification for themselves and each family member before entering the distribution area. Acceptable forms of identification include driver's license, state identification card, passport, student identification, social security card, library card, or other picture I.D.   If you have further questions about receiving a coat, please contact the Salvation Army at (916) 563-3732.
