Events submitted for News10's Community Calendar can either appear in a :30 second public service announcement that airs on News10 with Jennifer Smith, or appear on news10.net on our Community Calendar page.
"News10 Connects," a 30-second public service announcement detailing community events within the News10 viewing area, is produced and aired on a weekly basis. If you would like your event included in "News10 Connects," please submit the necessary information at least four weeks in advanced of the event date. Information may be either submitted on our Community Calendar page, e-mailed, faxed (916-441-3145) or sent via conventional mail, but phone calls concerning "News10 Connects" items cannot be accepted.
Only events sponsored by 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations will be considered for our :30 Second Public Service Announcement.
Due to the volume of mail received, the originating organization will be notified only if an event is chosen for air. Selections of events for inclusion in "News10 Connects" is solely at the discretion of News10.
Since News10 receives so many requests, not all events will be able to appear in our weekly TV public service announcement, however, those that don't will be considered for our Community Calendar page on news10.net. All events that benefit a community project or organization in good faith will be considered for a listing on the news10.net community calendar.
