The CTA Digital Horizontal Cooling Power Station for PS3 Slim.
While video game accessory maker CTA Digital already has a vertical cooling power station for the PlayStation 3 Slim, the company has decided to literally go another direction with its newly-announced Horizontal Cooling Power Station (also for the PS3 Slim).
The device uses CTA's new TempSense circuit, which the company calls "an improvement over a simple on/off switch." An additional 'power save' setting works as a thermostat for the user's system, automatically turning on the cooling fans when the console heats up above 45 degrees Celsius, shutting down when not required.
The Power Station also provides three extra powered USB slots on the front panel. Since Slim consoles only provide two front USB slots, the extras in the cooling base make sure every player can have a fully charged controller ready to go at game time.
An included AC adapter powers both the cooling fans and USB ports via a plug in the back of the base, so fans and extra USB slots don't pull power from the PS3.
The CTA Digital Horizontal Cooling Power Station retails at $34.99US.
