Gamers have a new reason to dust off those old NES and SNES cartridges tanks to Retro-Bit's latest offerings.  The new Retro Duo Portable handheld gaming consoles allow users to play original NES and SNES video game cartidges on the go.

Users can relive the glory days of gaming in the 1980's and 1990's in both single- and two-player (via a controller port on the handheld unit) modes.  The Retro Duo Portable, priced at $89.99, is available in both red and black and features a 3½-inch LCD screen.  The company is claiming a batery life of 6-8 hours on standard batteries and as many as 10½ with a seperatly-sold extended battery option.

Not to leave the classic SEGA Genesis out in the cold, Retro-Bit has also released a pair of adapters that allow Genesis and original NES game cartidges to be played on any original or third-party Super Nintendo console.  The RetroGen Adapter and RetroPort Adapter will both be launched in February of 2012.
