Ready to celebrate the nation's 235th birthday? Following are events happening on Monday, July 4 (In general, personal fireworks, alcohol and pets are not allowed):

SACRAMENTO
Cal Expo Fireworks

Day of event tickets purchased at the East Gate Box Office by Parking Lot D, beginning at 3 p.m.
Enter Grandstand or East entrance beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Music and dancing in the grandstand area
Limited reserved seating tickets for $10 sold online
Fireworks at 9 p.m.

ELK GROVE
Salute to the Red, White and Blue
Elk Grove Regional Park
9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road

Free admission, parking is $10
Live music and food beginning at 6 p.m.
Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

RANCHO CORDOVA
Hagan Community Park

Parade at 10 a.m.
Kids Zone 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

at 10 a.m.
Royer Park food and games from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Placer County Fairgrounds fireworks, gates open at 7 p.m., show at 9:30 p.m.

GRASS VALLEY
Main Street

Parade at 11 a.m.
Nevada County Fairgrounds gates open at 3 p.m., entertainment starts at 4 p.m., fireworks that night
Tickets: Adults $8; Kids 12 and under free

DAVIS

Free swim at Arroyo, Manor and Community pools 1 p.m. -5 p.m.
