News10's Bryan May knows the news business from both sides of the camera.
He first came to News10 in 1999 as a fill-in sports anchor, but soon landed a fulltime position as a news photographer. Late in 2000, Bryan once again stepped to the other side of the camera, taking a position as a general assignment news reporter.
In early 2003, Bryan was named a fulltime sports anchor/reporter for News10. In that capacity he is regularly seen on News10 at 6:00 and News10 at 11:00.
Bryan originally hails from Beaumont, Texas, which is also where he got his start in broadcasting. He spent five years in radio there, as well as a four year stint as public address announcer for the the city's AA baseball franchise. Bryan then broke in to television in Beaumont, first as a photographer, and then as sports director. After ten years on the air in Beaumont, in 1997 Bryan took a sports director position in Nashville, Tennessee. After two-years in Nashville, Bryan moved west to Sacramento and News10.
During his career, Bryan has won numerous awards for reporting, including being voted best sportscaster for five years in a row.
Bryan is married to News10 Good Morning traffic anchor Melissa Crowley. The couple lives in Sacramento and are the proud parents of a little girl.
Bryan and Melissa are both very involved in the community. In their spare time, they like to explore the backroads and scenic wonders of California.
