Alicia Malaby joined News10 in November 1999. Currently, Alicia anchors the weekend editions of News10. When not anchoring, Alicia works as a general assignment field reporter for News10.
Alicia joined News10 with extensive experience as a Northern California broadcast journalist. During her career, she has reported on a number of big stories, including the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, where she spent a week in Oakland as workers rescued motorists from the collapsed Cypress Freeway. She covered the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, including the aftermath of the bombing at Centennial Park. Alicia has also reported on California flooding and wildfires, and the Oklahoma City bombing verdict.
During Alicia's broadcasting career, she has received numerous professional honors including an Associated Press award for spot news, a Radio and Television News Directors Association award for feature reporting, and a first place Society of Professional Journalists award for her series, "A Passion For Pets."
Prior to joining News 10, Alicia worked as an anchor and reporter at KCRA-TV in Sacramento. She began her television career in Oklahoma City, where she worked as a reporter at KWTV.
Alicia holds a journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma.
