Cornell Barnard is a general assignment reporter for News10 in Sacramento. Cornell came to News10 from KCCN-TV in Monterey-Salinas, California, where he worked as a reporter/anchor. He also worked as a reporter for NBC-11 in San Jose, California, and for WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio.
Cornell's reporting has earned him an Emmy for Best Feature Reporting and the Associated Press Best Spot News Award.
Cornell is a Northern California native and is a graduate of the University of Southern California's School of Journalism. His father, Bill Barnard was a former executive with the Associated Press and was an AP foreign correspondent and bureau chief in Tokyo, Mexico City and Dallas. His mom, Julia is a freelance writer.
"In my spare time, I enjoy working out, traveling and hanging out with friends, family and his beagle, Bailey," said Barnard.
He also likes to cook- and yes, sometimes people even eat what he makes! (Only kidding.)
